My Testimony (written 2/18/15)

I've been dealing with talents since I was 14 and when I was offered a label job in Los Angeles to become an executive I felt this is the big one, yes!!!. The dream job in Hollywood and no more issues but I was totally dead wrong. First of it's nothing what it seems but bottom line you gotta have IT to be taken seriously. You can all talk that talk to me but always remember I'm apart of this entertainment business and where are you sitting? I remember back in the day Nobody's Beats The Wiz, 14th & F Northwest D.C. was my spot for getting my music and, I had an industry connects to get exclusives from indie labels through the mail. I started promoting rap artists like Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, Questionmark Asylum, and several local artists.
Today I dread being around artists especially unknown artists because they have a messed up way of thinking but they coming into a business who doesn't give a damn about what you talking.....real talk!!!. The numbers game will prove you or they promote they way they see it. Artists can be the most disloyal people alive!!! They become your friend when you help them then once they get what they want from you then here comes the Judas effect. I have posted many times that people will actually lie, cheat, sex, steal, and even kill for this industry and for what purpose? Money, Fame, Fortune, Prestige, Power but in the end NO love or respect if you ask me. Just being a student at a prestigious school based for the entertainment industry is huge in more ways than you can imagine. The challenge is being an older guy and dealing with youngsters can be nuts. Now I know how Jaleesa felt on A Different World but they say its television(yea right!!!). The one factor I see today is most of these artists don't have home training or manners so who fault is it?

I was taught to act accordingly in public cause you never know who you may meet could be your future. Here in Hollywood is like being in lifestyles of the rich, famous and the fuck-ups boot camp. Now all I can say is you better be on point whether it's fake or not. I have met artists online who are rude and don't even realize who is your life on the end of the phone. You have been warned but if you only knew? Today I deal with artists from all over the world instead of being stuck around people who claim to be music lovers but you nothing but nonmusical liars. Yo! go back to school to learn your manners and act like real professionals AT ALL TIMES cause its how you do it. I see some of you cats in the late night spots in LA and if you don't me I creep in darkness. I know who is fake and real but its not my job to expose them because time will reveal them for who they really are.

I was taught you never too old to learn and if that is a problem then so be it. When you can disrespect someone who was offered a job to work in the music business then it shows you have NO respect for that person or the entertainment business either. If this continues I think it'll be time to retire and walk away because my health is more important than taking abuse from people who haven't done a dam thing to prove shit to me or the entertainment industry bottom line......FACE IT!!!! There are days my passion for this is not like it was back in the day because my eyes have been open just like my grandfather told me how the truth will come to you. Now I'm loving the fact that I can explore other avenues on my terms cause I can and I earned my spot plus what you can do is hate which I don't give FUCK!!!!!!."
